For a family who literally lives and breathes food, Bonitos wasn’t actually their first food-related “business project”. They also took a shot at a small pasta catering business named Deli Von. It survived through support of friends and relatives, with special deliveries and consignments. And with the usual ups and downs of a specialty service, the business didn’t do as well as they wanted it. It only lasted for three years.

With their fondness for creating delectable pasta dishes living on, the restaurant we have grown to love was conceptualized. And if it weren’t for these 6 “little boys” from the barrio of snakes, Bonitos could have been called simply the Pasta Company.

For 5 years, Bonitos was registered at DTI as a sole-proprietorship and in 2009, it was incorporated as The Red Brick House Corp in SEC to adapt to its growing demand for serving innovative and excellent foods as well as providing delightful service.

Bonitos, as its first brand name (registered trademark at IPO Phil.), aims to provide what the market wants, hence, it promises to continuously be dynamic in the type of food it offers without compromising its identity of providing fresh food all the time.

Bonitos is considered to be cutting edge in terms of the pasta business in Los Baños, Laguna. It proudly boasts of serving “Fresh food all the time!” with pasta dishes as its prime product. Now, Bonitos also serves excellent hamburgers, gourmet salads, juicy and tender ribs, crispy kare-kare, sisig, BBQs, brick oven-baked pizza, nachos, and rice meals, which are all fast becoming popular.

Bonitos also eventually ventured into the catering business and is now one of the most sought after providers of catering services in Laguna and nearby areas.

With its increasing volume of loyal clients and growing number of catering commitments, it was only natural that the corporation would again venture into something bigger. Thus, One Bonitos Place was born.

bonitos - HISTORY

It all started as a school project in 2004 that had to be completed to earn a first-rate certificate from a management school. The program was called Venture into Entrepreneurship or simply VIE of the Asian Institute of Management in Makati. It provided a venue where culinary flair can be exploited...a once in a lifetime chance.
